"Continuous Adult Learning for adults with intellectual disabilities"
Cal Tech Learning Centre is located in Mississauga, Ontario.
We provide our students with opportunities to enhance their lives, by applying academic skills in practical ways. Teaching them to be more self-sufficient and independent and how to expand and develop their support through their own community.
Morning subjects would be taught in a typical classroom setting by qualified teachers in at least a six to one ratio. Each student would be assessed to their academic level per subject and their program would be structured accordingly. Students will be allowed to work at their own pace, and encouraged to achieve their personal best every day.
Afternoon subjects are hands on and 'up and about' elective courses that would use the tools of the morning classes to enhance learning in a variety of interest and life skills activities. Students will concentrate on organization and planning our electives, and seeing it through to the end.
